Meet the Girls

I was working on some Christmas craft. But then I got distracted and ended up making these instead.

Meet Kate (left) and Polly (right). Both of them are made from a Wendy Phillips pattern.

While making hair for these dolls, I didn’t follow the directions and instead styled their hair according to whatever took my fancy at the time I was working on them 😀

Those shoes were one of the main reasons why I decided to give this pattern a try. Also, the flowers around Polly’s skirt took me a lot of time to make. But it was totally worth the time 🙂

I think these girls will make great Christmas gifts.

Polly and Kate are really sweet looking girls when you meet them in person. They look the way they do in these photographs because the person who took their photos (and that would be yours truly) was in a hurry to wrap up the photo shoot and didn’t bother to get any decent shots 😦

P thinks I should do a reshoot but I don’t think I will. I’ve just recovered from an energy zapping bout of fever and currently I’m in a self preservation mode. Another photo session means expending whatever little energy I have. So, to cut a long story short, please bear with the photos. I shall try to be back soon with a new project and—hopefully—some non-crappy photographs 😀
