The Twins Amigurumi

Before I introduce you to the Twins, I apologize for taking what seems like forever to update. It’s been more than a month since I last posted. Unforgivable, I know, but way too many things were happening (moving house, locating my yarn stash and WIPs buried amidst piles of moving boxes which was no mean feat and certainly involved a lot of drama, falling sick, recovering only to find my net link’s gone for a toss, blah, blah, blah!) that this poor blog had to take a backseat temporarily. But happy days are here again. And on that note, please allow me to present to you the Twins – Cookie and Bikkie! 00_Cookie&Bikkie_Cover_Tales-of-Twisted-FibersCookie sports purple hair and ties her hair in two tiny buns because it allows her to do things without her hair getting in the way. She prefers pink Chuck Taylor sneakers to ‘girly’ shoes because, in her own words, “life is much easier when you don’t have to worry about looking pretty all the time”. Bikkie, on the other hand, is a total girly girl who wouldn’t go anywhere without her Mary Janes. Sweet, don’t you think!

At 8.5 inches,  these amigurumi twins are quite a handful. Leave these two unsupervised for a couple of minutes and they are sure to be up to some mischief.

And now I have some good news for you. The free amigurumi pattern for Cookie is almost ready and will be posted on this blog soon. Very soon. In fact, sooner than you think. So stay tuned for my next update 😀 In the meantime, you are welcome to browse through the image gallery below to see what the girls are up to 😉

This is all understandable, I have been there and done that. Thank you for getting back to me and I will keep watch. I am so happy that I have found amigurumi patterns because I love to crochet small things they go faster than larger projects, which I just do not have the patients for anymore. Hope all is well now and take care.

Me too, Janice, me too! I love projects that do not take forever to complete. I want instant gratification 😀 Life’s much saner now. Thanks so much for your kind words.

Oh boy, did I miss you around! So happy to see you back and again with wonderful joyful work. Looking forward for the pattern as well. Will make one more of ToTF dolls in my collection 😀 Great work, as always!
    Thank you

It’s good to see you too, my friend 🙂 And I’m so thrilled you liked Cookie enough to make one for yourself 😀 You’ve just given me an incentive to upload the pattern as early as possible because I can’t wait to see your version of Cookie! **Hugs**

Hmm :/ Never got notification for this post 😦 Glad I decided to check ‘Previous Post’ before I read about Cookie’s pattern, cos I thought, ‘Who’s Cookie?’ lol 😀
So, Hello ‘stranger’ 😀 I’ve been popping in to see if you’re around, but now I know you were moving. Hard going isn’t it? But you’ll be glad to be all settled now 🙂 Or are there still packing boxes to be sorted? Did you move far from where you were?
Now, I think both dolls are adorable and your story board are hilarious! 😀 Is Cookie self-modelled I wonder? Lol 😀
Right, off to read about this pattern 😀 xx

Hello. Long time! Moving was tiring; zapped all my energy 😦 Still a few boxes left to unpack but other than that, we’re pretty much settled. Cookie self-modeled? Ha ha… I’m flattered you think I’m really that cute 😀 I guess I spent more time photographing the dolls and getting the ‘story’ together than I actually did on making the twins. So I’m happy you liked my efforts 🙂 Thanks for dropping by. It’s good to see you again 🙂

I have no doubt that you are cute, 😛 but I must say, I was referring to the mischief she gets up to 😉 lol x

Your ideas & designs are so cute. I can’t seem to find a pattern for the Naughty Little Boy & Bikki. Are they still in the creating stage or did I just miss where they are located on your blog. I’ve been crocheting since I was 13 y/o. I am still in awe of creative people like yourself that can design such wonderful pattern for people like me to hook. Thank you so much.
