Meet the Girls

I was working on some Christmas craft. But then I got distracted and ended up making these instead.

I think these girls will make great Christmas gifts.

Polly and Kate are really sweet looking girls when you meet them in person. They look the way they do in these photographs because the person who took their photos (and that would be yours truly) was in a hurry to wrap up the photo shoot and didn’t bother to get any decent shots 😦

P thinks I should do a reshoot but I don’t think I will. I’ve just recovered from an energy zapping bout of fever and currently I’m in a self preservation mode. Another photo session means expending whatever little energy I have. So, to cut a long story short, please bear with the photos. I shall try to be back soon with a new project and—hopefully—some non-crappy photographs 😀

Until then, here’s wishing you loads of energy.

Polly and Kate is a Wendy Phillips design; the pattern is available here.

Mo, this is probably the first project in a very long time I’m completely happy with 🙂 And I love those shoes too; in fact, they are the reason I picked up this pattern in the first place. Thank you so much for always being so generous with your compliments; you rock! 😀

P.S. Sorry, couldn’t reply earlier. My net was down.

Thanks. I’m chuffed you like them enough to want to buy them 🙂 The thing is, I make these things for family and friends, and for myself as well. But if you really like the dolls, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

“Meet the Girls | Tales of Twisted Fibers” was in
fact a fantastic blog. If only there was much more blogs like this excellent one in the actual internet.
Anyways, thanks a lot for your precious time, George

Which reminds me I haven’t knitted anything in a while 😦 But crochet–I’ve realized–is so much more fun. Not too many bits and pieces to sew and put together. When you’re done, you’re done (well, almost!). So thrilled you loved the girls. Thank you so much for your kind words, my friend 🙂
