Radiohead’s Creep has been doing a slow number in my head ever since I woke up this morning. I really don’t know why. The last time I checked, that album and my media player hadn’t even said ‘hi’ to each other in years. And yet this particular song has been on a non-stop play mode between my ears. I’m a creep… creep… crêpe! Oh, there I get it. I’d made a couple of crêpe paper flowers a while back and had been meaning to post a how-to tutorial. But as we all know, there are always ‘other’ things that manage to come first in our priority list — eat, sleep, work, and not necessarily in that order. So the poor flowers were left forgotten in the corner of my dining room where I’d first put them. I went looking for them and — I’m not very proud to report — found the colors already faded, courtesy dear old sunlight filtering through the dining room window. So before they go from there’s-still-some-color to no color, I took these pictures.
To make up for these lousy pictures, I’ve made for you an illustrated tutorial on how to make these flowers. Go ahead now. Don’t be shy. Just give it a try🙂
The materials you will need are:
- Double-sided colored paper. I used crêpe because I couldn’t find anything else😀
- Office clip
- Quilling tool or a wooden toothpick
